Welcome to ATLCFI.com! As a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), it is my goal to get you in the air and flying. Whether you are brand new to aviation, want to add an additional license or rating, or you'd like to finish something that you previously started, I'm here to help. I primarily service the south side of Atlanta, but am open to most opportunities.
With a flexible schedule, and an eagerness to see you succeed, give me a call at 678-270-8700 and let's get your aviation goal realized!
Whether you want to fly for fun or hope to join the airlines, earning your private pilot certificate will be the first step towards reaching your goals. With this certificate, you may fly most single engine airplanes under VFR (visual flight rules); as well as, bring along friends or family (not for compensation). This certificate is also good for those who own their own airplane as you will be able to act as PIC (Pilot In Command) and travel if you wish.
An Instrument Rating is an add on to your Private Pilot Certificate that will allow you to fly under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules). Meaning, you will be able to fly in the clouds or in low visibility, solely in reference to your instruments. Overall, an instrument rating will make you a safer pilot and it’s a huge step toward being a professional as you will be introduced to more complex flying and become proficient in communication with Air Traffic Control.
A Commercial Pilot Certificate will allow you to get paid to fly under certain operations such as aerial survey, cargo, skydiving flights, or even flight instructing with an additional certificate. It doesn’t mean you can fly for the airlines quite yet but you will be considered a professional pilot as your training will be more advanced with more precise skills.
If you’ve stepped away from aviation for a while, now is the best time to regain currency and proficiency. Whether you need a safety pilot, an Instrument Proficiency Check, or a Flight Review, we’ll get you set up with a tailored course focusing on new rules and changes so you can be back in the air in no time!
If you are already a Certified Flight Instructor and are looking to earn more, increase the number of students you have, or want to be able to give an IPC, this add-on rating is for you. Since it may have been a while since you last flew Instrument, we’ll likely start with an evaluation of skill flight. This flight will determine weak and strong points as well as give us a guide line on what we need to work on to get you ready for your checkride.
